You wake up in bed
And you already feel dead
A strange lethargy arises
And affects people of all sizes
You go eat breakfast
And think about the wonderful past,
A long long time ago people would go to work,
Men in suits women in blouses.
So happy and carefree to be out of their houses
(not exactly happy)
But they could move their body
And stop it from going soggy,
Now the workforce are bored beyond their minds
Cuz hell yeah this quarantine binds
Fed up, people go to Fairprice..
And guess what they buy?
TOILET PAPER!
Elixir of the gods
Have gone so high up in demand
That not it is something contraband
So what do you do to get this roll of gold?
I’I tell you
You go to a store and queue
Something you should pursue
You go back to your home
And out comes a groan
As what is there to do
Online School? BORING
Work from home? NO WAY
So to counter this lethargical syndrome
What do you do?
You tweet, watch, binge and more
Anything digital to escape this bore
But as you watch, binge and tweet
Your mind turns inactive
It goes all slush.
But there is a way
From keeping your brain and body turning grey
Books, yoga, languages
Will save your brain and body from bandages
So turn off that screen
Before it makes you go green
And go instead to books, yoga, languages and more
And once you are in you will explore
Your mind will grow in this time of quarantine
And behold a new skill will unveil
All because of
Turning of that screen
Now don’t get me wrong
Everyone needs some time digital
But all I’m sayin
Is you need somethin
That makes you think and feel
connect with friends
Learn somethin
Get up and do something
(like ALC online fitness)
Quarantine, quarantine, quarantine
Don’t let it stop you
